I have chosen to make my album cover very simple but affective. The background colour is black and red faded together. This both connotes danger and lust. The red I have chosen to use is a dark blood red colour because I feel that would be the most effective. In the middle of the cover is the word Erosion this is because the entire album is about things falling apart and disappearing. The font intend to use is going to be slightly eroded to give a better effect for my cover.

Song titles:
Love runs out
Tick tock
Sacrifice
Best friend
The one that stole everything
Imaginary heartbreak
Stolen breath
Crushing feelings

These will be the whole albums tracklist. They will also be in eroded font on the back cover of the album. Also on the back cover of the album will be an image of a girl knelt down on the ground looking towards the floor. This will be darkened and roughed up around the edges to give it a falling apart feel.

Inside the album I will include a leaflet with items you can buy that are artist centred. Such as tshirts and mugs etc. there will also be a lyrics page for love runs out which will be the only released track on the album. I will also have some shots of the girl off the back cover in different poses in a little booklet.

CD covers

These are all already existing CD covers by various artists all of different genres and at different times. these are all original and different in many ways. i am aiming for simple but effective and wish to have influences from all of the above album covers. The first cover is a Christina Agulers and it is simply a close up of her face that has been photoshoped to look mechanical and robotic. Beyonce is a black woman and her album shows the dominance of the female roles in all ethnicity because her album consists of a black cover that has Beyonce written in pink text which joins together the two different backgrounds of ethnicity. It could also be said she is making a statement because she is bold and brave in nature and she can get away with her album cover having simply one word on a plain and simple, background. This is my favorite cover out of the above because of the way she represents herself and her career.
